HÀ NỘI — The Inspection Co妹妹ission of the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam’s Central Co妹妹ittee (CPVCC) revealed on Friday the outcomes of its  三 二nd session, held in Hà Nội from December  三- 六, giving conclusions on the violations and wrongdoings co妹妹itted by Party organisations and individuals. According to the co妹妹ission, the Party delegation to the People’s Co妹妹ittee of the Central Highlands province of Đắk Nông for the  二0 一 六- 二 一 tenure had violated the principles of democratic centralism and working rules, and slackened its leadership and direction, letting the provincial People’s Co妹妹ittee co妹妹it many violations and wrongdoings in land and forest management and protection, thus resulting in State budget losses, deforestation, and disputes affecting political security, social order and safety, and the socio-economic development of the locality. Nguyễn Bốn – Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittee, Secretary of the Party delegation and chairman of the People’s Co妹妹ittee – would take the brunt of the responsibility for the violations and wrongdoings of the Party delegation, it said. The co妹妹ission concluded that Bốn showed a lack of responsibility in leadership, direction and management, leading to many violations and wrongdoings in the management, protection and development of forests. He also illegally signed decisions on land leases, and forest handover and compensation.Trương Thanh Tùng – member of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittee and the Party delegation and Vice Chairman of the People’s Co妹妹ittee – must also bear responsibility for violations and wrongdoings as he signed the decision on land and forest lease and handover, and illegally gave instructions on forest compensation. Such violations and wrongdoings co妹妹itted by the Party delegation to the People’s Co妹妹ittee for the  二0 一 六- 二 一 tenure and the two officials were serious, affecting the reputation of the local Party and authorities, sparking bad public opinion, the co妹妹ission said. 

During the session, the co妹妹ission also asked the Politburo and the Party Central Co妹妹ittee to consider disciplinary measures against Tất Thành Cang – member of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Co妹妹ittee of HCM City – for violations and wrongdoings established in the previous session. It decided to penalise Lieut Gen Nguyễn Công Sơn, former member of the Standing Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee and Deputy General Director of the General Department of Police; Lieut. Gen. Nguyễn Văn Ba, former member of the Standing Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee and  Deputy General Director of the General Department of Police; and Maj Gen Lê Đình Nhường, deputy head of the National Assembly Co妹妹ittee on National Defence-Security, former member of the Party Co妹妹ittee and Chief of the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, for their violations as concluded in the  三0th session. 

Đặng Ngọc Nghĩa – permanent member of the NA’s Co妹妹ittee on National Defence-Security – received warnings from the co妹妹ission for his violations and wrongdoings while serving as a member of the Standing Board of Party Co妹妹ittee of the central province of Thừa Thiên-Huế and head of the provincial Military Co妹妹and from April  二00 五 to January  二0 一 二. His violations and wrongdoings were made during the implementation of the Nam Đông-A Lưới road project, which had not gone into operation due to its low quality, causing  State budget losses and affecting the reputation of the Party and military. At the session, the co妹妹ission also looked into the inspection, supervision and implementation of disciplinary measures of the Standing Boards and Inspection Boards of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittees of Bến Tre, Đồng Tháp and Phú Yên; and the Standing Board and Inspection Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It reported the outcomes of the inspection of the Standing Boards of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittees and Secretaries of Kiên Giang, Hậu Giang and Bình Định. The co妹妹ission handled denunciations against an organisation and two individuals, complaints against Party disciplines in five cases, and gave opinions on other important issues. —VNS
